SCARF (South Coast Association of Radio Flyers) was formed in 1983 to promote and control aeromodeling on the South Coast of KawZulu Natal. We are situated in Oribi Gorge. Use the Map!! or use your GPS S30 40 25.27 E030 14 36.81.
We are a member of the South African Model Aircraft Association and which in turn is affiliated to the Aero Club of South Africa.
You and family are welcome to join us at our Flying Field to see what model flying is all about and to chat to our friendly and helpful members. We have a Clubhouse with toilet facilities and viewing deck right next to our full size grass runway. Most flying is done on Sundays from 8am with a lunchtime bring and braai.
Model flying can be dangerous so Please read our Rules for YOUR Safety. Model flying is a personal challenge and is a very rewarding hobby for all ages…..
We do, Fun Fly Events, Aerotow, Float Flying etc.
We Fly, Fixed Wing, Helicopters, Gliders, Float Planes( Gas + Electric) and Drones.
